STATE-OF-THE-ART MANUFACTURING
CNC controlled high-definition plasma cutters, numerically controlled benders, and robotic welders ensure accurate production and improve manufacturing efficiency. All welding is done in precision jigs and fixtures to ensure proper fit and alignment, and all hand welding is done by individuals who have passed testing according to the AWS D.1.1 standard.

We’ve been manufacturing custom solutions, including projection screens, AV lifting and mounting solutions, window shades, and gymnasium equipment, in Spiceland, Indiana, since 1902. Draper offers the most complete and highest quality line of gymnasium equipment available, including basketball backstops, divider curtains, wall pads, volleyball systems, mat lifters, football goals, soccer goals, and more. Working with Draper simplifies the process—there’s no need to deal with multiple manufacturers or suppliers.
SAFETY
The safety of athletes and spectators is our top priority. Draper basketball backstop beam clamps have been tested to hold approximately 20,000 pounds, and T-frame hangers have been independently tested and found to support in excess of 25,000 pounds. We stress the importance of safety straps on all equipment that can be raised and lowered. Our wall pads meet ASTM F2440-11 Standard Specification for Indoor Wall/Feature Padding for shock absorption. All of our basketball winches are listed by Underwriters Laboratories.
POWDER COATING
Shipping large, heavy pieces of gym equipment isn’t the most delicate operation. Draper powder coated basketball backstops are more resistant to chipping, scratching, fading, and wearing than competitive products with other finishes, virtually eliminating the need for the installer to touch up or for the painting contractor to repaint the backstops.
